The WC-type low-pressure venturi dust collector is a wet dust collector designed and researched by the Beijing Nonferrous Metallurgical Design and Research Institute with reference to foreign equipment and related materials. It is an improved product of DW type.

After several years of application practice, it has been proved that the equipment can be widely used in occasions with high requirements for dust removal efficiency, and can also be used for washing and purifying harmful gases.

Structure and principle

The principle is: the dust-laden gas passing through the venturi tube contacts with the water flowing down the weir of the venturi tube from the water supply tank. At the throat, the airflow speed increases and the water splashes to form fine water droplets. Dust is caught by the water due to collision with the water droplets or is directly thrown into the water surface of the sedimentation tank due to agglomeration into larger dust particles. Less particles are brought into the cyclone by the gas and captured again. The cyclone also has a dehydrating effect.

1. Due to the use of water to remove dust, it should be antifreeze during operation.

2. Adjust the valve on the water supply pipe so that the water outlet sprays a 2cm high water column.

3. Adjust the opening degree of the valve at the bottom of the dust collector so that a small amount of water overflows from the overflow pipe during operation.

4. It is water saving and can be recycled.

The dust collector has passed the appraisal, and the appraisal opinion is: "reasonable design, advanced performance, qualified quality and good user feedback".

This equipment has carried out manual dust removal test in the manufacturing plant. The Beijing Nonferrous Metallurgy Design and Research Institute and Angang Labor Hygiene Research Institute have tested the dust removal efficiency of 98-99.88%.

The dust removal effect of a certain copper mine and basic ceramics was measured, and the dust removal efficiency was 99.17% and 99.99%, respectively.

At present, this kind of dust collector is widely used for dust removal in mineral processing plants, ceramic plants, printing and dyeing plants, copper mines, lead-zinc mines, pit crushing, high-frequency porcelain factories, gold mines, foundries, cremation plants, and boilers.
